I am the sun.
I break through with my light,
Great hope that’s found,
In your dark…in your plight.
I am the dawn.
Peaceful and welcoming,
Beautiful on my own.
You sit and watch,
The many colors of morning.
I am the noon.
An apex in your heart’s sky.
Free, you forget the night.
Growing in majestic strength,
We climb to passion’s height.
I am the dream.
In the middle of day,
You wake from slumber,
With change on its way.
You’re uncomfortable now, hot.
I seem to loom,
Though I think I am good.
The weight of my presence,
Perhaps misunderstood.
The light and life that I offer,
From which now you seek shade.
I notice this.
So I find my own horizon,
My passion unwillingly fades.
I don’t just leave,
I seek to remain.
Yet I sink towards the line,
To the place from where I came.
In gentleness, I fade
Not wishing you harm.
In despairing, I fade.
Deliberate demise for your comfort.
I fade to the line,
You remember my light,
How sweet it was,
Yet how cool was the night.
The welcomed eve as I fade.
I keep it sweet,
A message or two before I go.
Heart music slows, but I “leave it alone”….
The night is come.
I fade……I fade.
Into darkness, I fade.
I fade………………..I…. fa….
Another’s night to make day.
